Last April, I kicked off wedding season with Jessica and Billy’s wedding. It truly was an honor to be a part of their wedding day and not only did they have one ceremony, but they had two! I don’t get to photograph two ceremonies in one day very often, but I really enjoyed the more intimate ceremony at St. Michael’s in Old Town they held for their immediate family. This was only my second time shooting a smaller ceremony at St. Michael’s in the side chapel, but I adore how quaint and cozy this little chapel feels. After their first ceremony we headed off to Lincoln Park South Pond for some quick wedding party and couples formal shots.
The real fun began when we headed over to their reception venue and 2nd ceremony site at Gallery 1028! I was really digging the industrial look of the surrounding area, so we took a short walk and I captured some really fun shots of Jessica and Billy.
We also made use of the beautiful lighting and brick textures within 1028.
After some quick couples shots we had a good amount of chill time before the 2nd ceremony began. I couldn’t believe how easily things fell into place and we were way ahead of schedule. This always makes for a very enjoyable and relaxed day.
Not only were all of Jessica and Billy’s friends and family there, but their beloved pup got to grace the aisle and share in the days merriment, too. I really enjoyed my time with both Jessica and Billy and wish them all the best! I seriously couldn’t have kicked off wedding season with a more chill and cool couple!
