Krista Scarlavai Photography

About Krista

My goal as a wedding photographer is to use my creativity to represent you as couple and tell your wedding story, so that you too can share the memories with each other, as well as family for years to come.

I graduated from Indiana University in 2009 with a degree in Fine Arts before moving to Chicago to photograph weddings professionally.  My photography is expressed in a natural way as the day unfolds and it is really important to me that my clients are able to soak up every moment and not be concerned with a strict photography timeline.

I have so much love for what I do and am very grateful that I get to work with so many amazing couples on such a big day in their lives.  I would love to learn about you and your wedding day plans.  If you feel that I am the photographer to capture your wedding day then let’s grab a coffee or maybe my favorite, a cupcake, and discuss your wedding needs!

My Work

Happy Clients

I could never be so brash as to “toot my own horn”… but I’m totally fine with letting others do so! Check out what some of my happy customers say about my work.

"All of our pictures turned out so beautifully. It's like seeing the story of our wedding day and being able to relive it all over. I was absolutely blown away with the pictures we've received. I plan on using her for all the pictures to come in my life!"

"Krista was wonderful to work with: kind, flexible and extremely talented. Our photos came out even better than expected, and the time we spent with her was a lot of fun. I can't say enough great things about her and have already recommended her to several friends with upcoming weddings. She's the best!"

Mandy C.
"Krista is professional but also very relatable. During the reception, Krista was everywhere and nowhere at once; she was snapping photos but was not intrusive at all! Many, many of my guests commented on how great she was. If you want a flexible, talented, and sweet photographer, book Krista as soon as you can. Thank you, Krista!"
